Privacy policy

Never Twice is made by Abhidini Labs. This page describes what the app does with data. The app is for all ages, and it has no account, no chat and no way to contact other players.

What stays on your device

Your scores, stats, star map progress and rank, Daily Voyage streak, settings, Remove Ads ownership and your answer to the age question are kept on your device only. Clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app removes them.

The age question

On the first launch the game asks "Are you 13 or older?". The answer is stored on your device only. We do not send it to our analytics. It decides how ads are requested (see "Ads" and "Children" below).

What we collect, with your choice

• Usage analytics (Google Firebase Analytics): gameplay events such as runs started and finished, galaxies cleared, scores, which mode and difficulty was played, and whether a reminder or the rating card was answered. They carry a random app-instance identifier, not your name or contact details. They never include the advertising ID. You can turn this off in Settings, under "Share usage data".
• Crash reports (Google Firebase Crashlytics): technical details such as the device model, Android version and the error, when the app crashes, so we can fix it.
• Game settings (Google Firebase Remote Config): the app downloads game numbers and feature switches. Like any network request, this shows Google your IP address and an app-instance identifier.

We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos or precise location.

Ads

The app shows ads from Google AdMob: an optional rewarded video, and a full-screen ad now and then between runs (never during a run). Google collects data for ads, such as your IP address (which gives an approximate location), ad interactions and device identifiers, under its own privacy policy. Before any ad loads, you are asked for consent where the law requires it.

Players who answer "under 13" get ad requests marked as child-directed: no personalised ads, only ads suited to all audiences, no full-screen ads between runs, and no advertising ID. Players who answer "13 or older" get ads capped at teen-rated content, and personalised ads only if they agree in the consent form. You can buy Remove Ads once to hide all ads.

Purchases

Remove Ads is sold through Google Play Billing. Google handles payment; we do not see your payment details. Settings has a Restore purchases button.

Notifications

The game can send one Daily Voyage reminder. It is a local notification scheduled on your device, with no server involved. After the first question the app asks your phone for permission; if you say no, no reminder is sent. You can turn reminders off in Settings.

Sharing a seed code

A seed code such as O-E-K7Q29FX holds a game mode, a difficulty and a random number that picks the galaxies. It has no name, ID, device or location information. The app sends it nowhere: you share it yourself with your phone's share menu, and a friend types it in.

Children

Never Twice is for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and we do not ask for any. Players who say they are under 13 get the child-directed ad treatment described above. Parents can switch usage analytics off in Settings, and can ask us to delete analytics data linked to a device by writing to the address below.

Deleting your data

Clear the app's storage or uninstall it to remove everything kept on the device. To ask us to delete analytics data already sent, see how to delete your data.
